BG man arrested for felonious assault after reportedly injuring roommate with sword and bat

Bowling Green Police arrested a man for felonious assault after he allegedly injured his roommate with a sword and a baseball bat.

On Monday (May 27) around 2:30 p.m., police were called to a home in the 400 block of East Clough Street, where they found Wesley Doolittle III, 43, sitting outside. He said he and his roommate had been arguing over cleaning duties at the house. Doolittle reportedly told police he first tried to fire a flare gun at his roommate, but it did not work. He then allegedly hit his roommate in the leg with a baseball bat, then cut him with a sword.

Inside, police found the roommate on the floor with a cut to his hand and an obvious broken leg. Bowling Green EMS transported the roommate to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo.

Doolittle was taken to Wood County Jail.
