Bowling Green Police arrested a man Sunday morning for theft from a motor vehicle and criminal trespassing.
Cameron Dean Fox, 23, of the 1000 block of Third Street, Bowling Green, was taken to the Wood County jail.
On Sunday, at 3:10 a.m., police were trying to locate a white male in dark clothing who was seen trying to open vehicle doors in the 800 block of Second Street. An officer driving in the alley between Second Street and Scott Hamilton Avenue spotted Fox standing next to a blue Ford Focus in the 800 block of Scott Hamilton Avenue. Fox reportedly then got in the backseat of the car, with a TV lying on the ground next to the car.
As the police officer got out of his vehicle, Fox reportedly took off running. Police pursued on foot. Fox reportedly tripped and fell in the 800 block of Second Street, and officers placed him in custody.
Police located the owner of the Ford Focus, who said there was a 32-inch TV in the backseat of his vehicle.
Fox was charged with obstructing official business, two counts of criminal mischief, theft from a motor vehicle and criminal trespassing.
Fox was charged earlier this fall for allegedly stealing a specialized handcycle of a Bowling Green resident.
