A Bowling Green man was charged with assault and possession of criminal tools after he reportedly stabbed a co-worker in his arm.
Bowling Green Police Division was called to a manufacturing plant in the 800 block of Miller Drive, Friday around 6 p.m. The victim was still at the plant, but the offender, Benjamin Hutton, 35, had left the building.
The victim told police that he was sitting on his forklift when Hutton charged at him and stabbed his arm with a folding box cutter.
Hutton told management at the plant that the victim frequently caused problems for the shipping department. He admitted to going too far in stabbing his co-worker. Hutton was suspended by his employer.
The victim told police that he had aggravated Hutton in the past.
The victim’s laceration was treated with surgical glue at the hospital.
Police went to Hutton’s home. He reportedly admitted stabbing his co-worker, and gave police the box cutter.
