BG man charged with hit-skip after reportedly striking car parked in front of courthouse

Bowling Green Police responded to a hit-skip crash reported by a witness on Wednesday around 5:20 p.m., in the 200 block of East Court Street. The witness was able to give police the license plate of the pickup truck involved.

Police went to the address of the vehicle owner and found the pickup truck, which had fresh scratches and maroon paint on the front passenger side of the truck and the bumper.

The owner of the vehicle parked on East Court Street that was struck by the truck said the car had been pushed forward a full parking space and up onto the curb, where it struck a parking sign.

Police charged the pickup driver, Trevor Dienst, 32, Bowling Green, with OVI, driving under OVI suspension, hit-skip, and failure to control his vehicle.
