Bowling Green Police responded to an apartment Friday (July 17) around 3:37 p.m., after a resident reported a possible bullet hole in his window.
Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South College Drive, and found a hole in an upstairs bedroom window, and in the ceiling near the bedroom door. The trajectory of the holes led police to believe the shot came from a neighboring apartment.
Police approached the neighbor, Jamal White, 29, who reportedly acknowledged that he had accidentally discharged his handgun as he was cleaning it while sitting on his couch.
White was cited for discharging a firearm in city limits. No one was injured by the stray bullet.
