Bowling Green Middle School hosted its annual “Manufacturing Day” on Friday.
In conjunction with the Bowling Green Economic Development Foundation, nine local manufacturers visited with students in the middle school gymnasium on National Manufacturing Day.
The manufacturing companies set up stations for students to visit and tour throughout the day. The purpose of the event was to showcase modern manufacturing and for students to discover local job opportunities after high school graduation.
Most of these jobs are for students entering the workforce right after high school or may require a two-year degree. Many of these jobs are in high demand.
The manufacturers participating Friday were:
- Argo-Hytos
- CMC
- GKN
- Phoenix Technologies International
- PBE
- Regal Beloit
- Rosenboom
- Grammer
- Betco
The Binkelman Corporation provided lunch for all the manufacturers as their contribution this year.
