BG Police arrest man already under ‘no contact order’ for domestic violence

Bowling Green Police responded to the Wood County Hospital Emergency Department Sunday around 7:30 a.m., for a woman injured in an alleged domestic violence incident.

After speaking with the woman, police arrested Ricky Borders Jr., 46, of Bowling Green, for domestic violence. He was taken to Wood County Jail.

The woman reportedly had a swollen eye and bruising around both eyes. She told police the first injuries occurred when Borders reportedly hit while he was driving the night before, and the other when they were at his apartment in the 200 block of East Napoleon Road that morning.

Police reportedly have responded to previous domestic violence issues involving the two. Borders is currently under a “no contact order” through Perrysburg Municipal Court. He reportedly wears a GPS ankle monitor.

The woman told police that after the incident in his apartment, she told Borders she was going to the laundromat, then called someone to take her to the hospital.
