Bowling Green Police Division arrested a man Sunday for aggravated robbery. At approximately 2:30 Sunday morning, Bowling Green Police were flagged down in the area of East Court Street and North Main Street for a victim lying on the ground, bleeding and unconscious. The victim was a 22-year-old male from Carey. Shortly after, witnesses pointed out the suspected assailant, 20 year-old Wyatt Wilson from Toledo, running on North Main Street. Officers initiated foot pursuit and reportedly observed Wilson with a handgun. During the foot pursuit, Wilson reportedly discarded the handgun, which officers recovered. Officers apprehended Wilson in the parking lot behind Pisanello’s Pizza without incident. Further investigation revealed that Wilson allegedly pointed the handgun at the victim and then assaulted him before stealing his cell phone. Wilson was arrested for aggravated robbery and lodged at the Wood County Justice Center.
