BG Police arrest man for having 96 pills of Ecstasy

Bowling Green Police Division arrested a man in the city parking lot at North Church Street and West Court Street on multiple drug charges, Friday, Oct. 8, around 11:50 p.m.

Ryan Whitlock, 29, Oregon, was charged with felony possession of drugs, aggravated trafficking of drugs, and possession of hashish. He was taken to Wood County Jail.

An officer approached a vehicle in the parking lot, and smelled the odor of burnt marijuana.

Whitlock reportedly said he was smoking weed.

The officer reportedly observed a large bag of what appeared to be drugs under Whitlock’s leg.

The bag appeared to have methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA/ ecstasy) pills. The 96 pills were multicolor and shaped like little money bags. There was a dollar sign imprinted on the pills.

A search of the vehicle reportedly found two Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) vape cartridges, one which was connected to a vape pen. The search also found what appeared to be an old bud of marijuana, plastic Ziplock bags and $100 in the center console and a rolling tray.

A field test was performed on a small broken piece of one of the pills for Methamphetamine/ MDMA (ecstasy). The field test immediately turned blue indicating the pill piece was Methamphetamine/ MDMA.
