A Michigan woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon for reportedly burglarizing a home in Bowling Green.
BG Police Division was called to the 300 block of South Wintergarden Road for a trespasser in a home. The residents had just purchased the home the week before, and were in the process of moving in. The house has been left unlocked as they moved items inside.
As they arrived with more items, the homeowners found the woman, from Blissfield, in their home. They did not know her, or give her permission to be in the house.
The woman reportedly went through the house and placed keys and other items in a purse. She reportedly told the homeowner that God called her to the house, that she was a social worker, and that she owned the house.
The homeowners also reported that the woman moved some items in the house, such as photos in the basement.
Officers were able to locate the woman on South Main Street.
