Bowling Green Police Division arrested a Portage man for domestic violence on Wednesday.
Isaac John Rider, 21, was arrested after police received a 911 call of possible domestic violence taking place in a parking lot in the 900 block of Thurstin Avenue.
Police found Rider and his mother, who had reportedly been thrown to the ground by Rider. The woman told police she hit the back of her head on the pavement when pushed, and she had visible redness on both wrists from where she tried to break her fall.
Rider reportedly admitted to throwing his mother to the ground. He was arrested for domestic violence and taken to the Wood County jail.
