BG Police arrest woman for alleged assault and aggravated burglary

Bowling Green Police Station

Bowling Green Police arrested a woman for aggravated burglary and assault on Sunday (July 5) in the 800 block of Thurstin Avenue.

Police received a call around 1:16 p.m., from an employee of a mental health residential care facility, who reported that a female resident had assaulted him by pulling his hair and kicking him.

When officers arrived on the scene, the woman was barricaded in the bedroom of a neighboring apartment. The resident of that apartment said he found the woman on his patio, and asked her to leave. When he returned home later, he reportedly saw her entering his apartment by the patio door.

The residential care facility employee arrived and was trying to escort her out of the apartment, when the woman reportedly began assaulting him. She then allegedly barricaded herself in the bedroom by laying in front of the door.

As she was being taken to Wood County Jail, she reportedly kept hitting her head on the partition in the police cruiser. A helmet was placed on her head, and she was checked out at Wood County Hospital before being jailed.
