BG Police arrest woman for alleged assault of man trespassing in her apartment

Bowling Green Police arrested a woman for assault Wednesday (Oct. 21) after she allegedly hit a man with her high heel shoes, chased him with a butter knife and cut up his ID.

Police responded to an apartment in the 900 block of South Main Street around 9:30 a.m., after the resident texted 911 to report a male was trespassing in her home. The man was under an order to not be in her home.

The man reportedly told police that the woman had invited him over the night before, then found out he was texting with another woman. He reportedly said she hit him with the high heel of a shoe, and showed police cuts left on his neck. He said she chased him into a bedroom with a butter knife, and he locked himself inside. He also told police she cut up his ID, and took his wallet.

The woman denied doing any of that. But by looking at body camera video, police reportedly could see that she removed the shoes from the living room that were there when they first arrived. Police also reportedly found the man’s ID cut up in her trash, and his wallet in the grass behind her apartment building.

The woman, Kennedy Tingle, 25, was arrested for assault and taken to Wood County Jail.
