Bowling Green Police arrested two people over the weekend for assaults, cited 22 individuals for alcohol or drug related offenses, and responded to 20 reports involving disorderly conduct for offenses such as fighting and loud noise.
On Saturday (Aug. 29) around 2 a.m., police responded to a reported assault that occurred when a man intervened after he allegedly saw Kolby Lloyd, 20, of Schoolcraft, Michigan, push his girlfriend in the 100 block of East Wooster Street. As the man got in between Lloyd and Lloyd’s girlfriend, he was reportedly hit multiple times in the face. Lloyd was charged with assault and taken to Wood County Jail.
On Sunday (Aug. 30), around 10:23 p.m., police responded to a home in the 100 block of Byall Avenue, where a 12-year-old boy allegedly struck two family members. One family member reportedly had a large lump above her eye and blood coming from her mouth. The boy was charged with two counts of domestic violence and taken to the Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
