BG Police charge woman with assault, menacing and criminal damaging

A Bowling Green woman was charged with assault, menacing and criminal damaging after she allegedly chased two children, grabbed one by the neck, and damaged their bicycles.

Bowling Green Police received a call Tuesday afternoon from a parent in the 1500 block of Clough Street, who said her daughter and a neighboring girl were outside when  Tiondra Green, 30, reportedly came out of her apartment, yelling at the girls.

Green allegedly chased the girls, and caught one, digging her fingernails into the back of the girl’s neck, leaving marks. The girl’s mom reportedly heard screaming, stepped outside and saw Green allegedly throwing both girls’ bicycles. Her daughter’s bike, a pink Royal Rider, now has broken handlebars and a wobbly front tire, the mom said.

The mom told police that kids in the neighborhood had been ringing Green’s doorbell and running away on Monday. She said Green came outside with a crowbar, threatening to beat on all the cars Monday.

A witness to Tuesday’s incident told police she was sitting in her car when she reportedly saw Green come running outside, grabbing one girl’s neck, then throwing both bicycles.

Green could not be found, but police filed charges against her with BG Municipal Court.
