BG Police cite man for disorderly conduct – fighting at bar

Bowling Green Police Division responded to a call Sunday at 1:08 a.m., about an unwanted person at a bar in the 100 block of East Wooster Street.

Upon arrival, the officer saw a man matching the description, with no shirt on, standing in front of the bar.

An employee of the bar said the man, Dajon Mingo, 31, had purchased $8 worth of shots, failed to pay for them and had his shirt off in the bar. The employee said he requested that Mingo pay the bill and put his shirt on. Mingo reportedly refused.

As the employee started escorting him out of the bar, Mingo reportedly punched him in the face. The officer saw no injury to the employee’s face, and when asked about the charges, the employee seemed hesitant.

Police charged Mingo with one count of disorderly conduct – fighting. He was banned from the bar at the staff’s request.

The shots were later paid for by a friend of Mingo’s.
