Bowling Green Police Division is investigating a robbery earlier today at the PNC Bank at 735 S. Main St.

Police received an alarm at 12:02 p.m. from the bank.

The suspect was described as a 6-foot male of medium build. He did not present a weapon during the robbery. He escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

BGPD received conflicting descriptions from bank tellers regarding the race of the robbery suspect. Initially, the suspect was described as a black male, wearing a high visibility construction vest, yellow hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. But at the time of the robbery, the suspect was also wearing orange gloves, a black mask, hat and dark glasses covering his face – making it difficult to distinguish race.

The suspect was last seen headed eastbound in the alley behind the bank, according to BGPD Lt. Ryan Tackett. As of 4 p.m., the suspect had not been located.

Police notified Kenwood, Montessori, and St. Al’s schools of the robbery, as per BGPD protocol, Tackett said.
