Bowling Green Police responded Saturday to a report of a breaking and entering of a storage unit in the 1000 block of North Prospect Street.
The owner of the storage unit told police that the facility had been secured with padlocks that appeared to have been cut off. All the contents of the unit – primarily books and comic books in storage totes – had been removed.
The owner told police the last person to lease the unit was $1,100 behind in rent.
Police checked the address on the lease, and found that the renter no longer lives there, and the phone number on the lease was for his former employer.
