Bowling Green Pregnancy and Family Life Center has received a $400,000 anonymous challenge grant in support of the Sparks of Light campaign, creating an opportunity for donors to double the impact of their support as the organization moves forward with its new facility.
Through Dec. 31, qualifying contributions to the campaign will be doubled up to $400,000. Multi-year pledge commitments will also count toward the challenge, providing donors with flexibility while helping to generate momentum toward completion of the campaign.
The challenge comes on the heels of the groundbreaking of the center’s new home at the former St. Aloysius Church Annex in Bowling Green.
The new facility will provide expanded space where women and families can receive support, resources, and services. The project represents an investment in the center’s ability to serve families throughout the region for generations to come.
“This generous challenge comes at such an important moment for our campaign,” said Rochelle Sikora, executive director. “We have celebrated the groundbreaking and can now see the vision becoming a reality. This extraordinary gift gives our community an opportunity to join us in taking the next step, and to have every qualifying dollar of their generosity doubled.”
The Sparks of Light campaign is providing the philanthropic support necessary to renovate the facility while strengthening the center’s ability to fulfill its mission into the future.
Campaign leaders hope the $400,000 challenge will inspire individuals, families, churches, businesses, and community partners, both longtime supporters and those learning about the center for the first time, to participate.
“The groundbreaking was an important milestone, but our work is not finished,” said Mike Ginetti, campaign chair. “This challenge gives our community an opportunity to build on the incredible generosity that has brough us this far. Every gift makes a difference – and right now, every qualifying gift will have twice the impact.”
