BG volleyball loses tough match against Ottawa-Glandorf

The Bowling Green Bobcats closed out a demanding four-match week Saturday (9-26-26) at home with a non-conference matchup against the Ottawa-Glandorf Titans, delivering a competitive performance despite ultimately falling in three sets.

Coach Krissy King reports: “The Bobcats came out strong and played high-level volleyball from the opening serve, battling the Titans point-for-point throughout the opening two sets but Ottawa-Glandorf edged the Bobcats 25-21 and 25-22. In the third set, the Bobcats rallied early on but Titans gradually pulled away 25-16, to complete the sweep. Although the final score fell in the Titans’ favor, the Bobcats’ grit and competitive spirit never wavered, closing out a grueling week with a performance that sets the stage for the battles still ahead.”

Bobcat football loses 37-9 to Springfield

The BG Bobcat football team couldn’t dig out of an early hole in a Friday (9-25-26) match up with Springfield, ending with a 37-9 defeat.

Springfield scored twice in the first quarter to take a 9 point lead, and continued to score in every quarter.

Bobcat quarterback Grant Gillispie accounted for 116 yards of BG’s 209 yards total offense, He completed 12 of 27 passes attempted for 79 yards, and gained 37 yards on 20 rushes. Carson Boehler rushed for 70 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown play in the fourth quarter. London Bernath kicked a 35-yard field goal early in the second quarter.

Bobcat girls tennis claims NLL Cardinal Division title

The Bowling Green High School Girls Tennis Team claimed the championship of the Cardinal Division of the Northern Lakes League on Tuesday (9-22-26).

Bowling Green finished with 58 pts in the tournament which was good for first place. Combining the 24 points earned from the tournament and 10 dual match points, BG finished with 34 points. Second place was Fremont Ross with 26 points. Bowling Green’s NLL championship was the 4th consecutive championship for the Girls tennis program.

Summary of the Bowling Green results:

First singles: Lily Rader competed for Bowling Green and won her first match versus Katie Sutter from Clay, 6-2,6-4. She advanced to the final which was televised on BCSN where she lost to Elayna Gray, Fremont Ross, who she had beaten in 3 sets in the regular season. Lily lost to Elayna 6-0,2-6, 6-1 in the tournament.

Second singles: Bella Armentano competed for Bowling Green and won her first match vs. Xyla Beauregard from Clay, 6-2,6-1. She advanced to the final and beat Lilly Walker of Napoleon, 6-3,7-5, for the 2nd singles championship.

Third singles: Katie Cheatwood competed for Bowling Green and won her first match vs. Kenna Brummell from Clay, 6-1,6-1. She advanced to the final and beat G. Walker of Napoleon, 6-2,6-2 for the 3rd singles championship.

1st Doubles: Miriam Faulkner/Meredith Buchhop competed for Bowling Green and won their first match vs. L. Humburg/G. Humburg from Fremont Ross, 6-0,6-0. They advanced to the final and lost to E. Haynes/L. Geise of Clay in a tight match, 1-6, 7-5,6-1.

2nd Doubles: Allison McMurray/Abby Clark competed for Bowling Green and won their first match vs. N. Bascom/L. Wardinski from Napoleon, 6-3,6-3. They advanced to the final and lost to A/ Lewis/A. Ziegelhofer of Clay, 6-3,6-1.

Bobcat volleyball scores comeback win over Anthony Wayne

The Bowling Green Bobcats battled their new Northern Lakes League opponents, the Liberty-Benton Eagles, in a four-set Cardinal Division showdown Thursday night (9-25-26)after regrouping, refocusing, and revitalizing to secure a 3-1 victory (25-21 | 25-15 | 24-26 | 25-21).

Coach Krissy King reports: “Despite falling behind 7-14 in the opening set, the Bobcats dug deep and clawed their way back, rallying to take the first set, 25-21. Bowling Green then found its stride and carried the momentum into the second set, cruising to a convincing 25-15 win. After a 2-0 set lead, the Eagles clawed back in the third set, capitalizing on a few missed opportunities to edge the Bobcats 26-24. Trailing 10-16 in the fourth, Bowling Green responded following a timeout with a furious rally, storming back to ‘Pluck the Eagles’ in a 25-21 set win to close out the match for another hard-fought Cardinal Division victory.’

The Bowling Green boys soccer team dropped a 5-1 decision to Anthony Wayne Thursday (9-25-26).

Sasha Galay, with an assist by Landon Best, scored for the Bobcats.

BG boys golf falls short of earning spot in sectionals

The Bowling Green Boys Golf Team competed in the Division 1 Sectional Tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Course in Bowling Green Wednesday (9-23-26).

The Bobcats finished 6th overall, eight strokes behind fifth place finisher Perrysburg. The top five teams advancing to the District Finals next week.

Sophomore Maddox Barnhisel led the team with an 84 and advanced as an individual to Shawnee Country Club in Lima for the District Finals.

The BG girls soccer team powered by two hat trick performances cruised assed Napoleon 8-0 Wednesday (9-23-26).

Bobcat Corinna Kramer and Alayna Mahan each scored three goals and had an assist. Maddie Gillispie scored a goal and had an assist. Olive Seiffert scored as well. Ashley Lopez had three assists and Leah Koester and Akimai Cullison each are credited with assists.

Lily Wagner got the shut out.

Bobcat volleyball loses five-set thriller to Clay Eagles

The Bowling Green Bobcats volleyball squad lost a five-set thriller Tuesday night to Oregon Clay Eagles in a Northern Lakes League Cardinal Division showdown.

Coach Krissy King reports: “Bowling Green came out firing from the opening serve, settling into an early rhythm and taking the first set, 25-18. Clay answered with victories of 25-14 and 25-17 in the next two sets. Refusing to fold, the Bobcats reloaded and refocused, roaring back with a dominant 25-15 fourth-set victory to force a deciding fifth set.

“Bowling Green battled back from an early deficit in the final frame, twice rallying to tie the score and staying within striking distance through two game-point opportunities. However, the Eagles edged the Bobcats, 17-15 in the fifth set to close out the match for a competitive five-set, edge of your seat, NLL. thriller.”

Bobcat boys cross country takes first in Dave’s Classic meet

The BG Boys placed 1st of 11 teams in the Dave’s Greater Toledo Cross Country Classic on Saturday at Ottawa Park Golf Course in Toledo. BG Scored 42 points to win the event.

Host St. Francis was second with 54 and Avon Lake placed 3rd with 117 points. BG was paced once again by senior veteran Sam Wiles who placed 5th overall in a time of 16:39.

Girls cross-country places third in Dave’s meet

The Bobcat Girls Varsity Cross Country team placed third of 12 teams at the Dave’s Greater Toledo Cross Country Classic Hosted by St. Francis at Ottawa Park Golf Course on Saturday (9/19).

BG placed three runners in the top 15 as they went on to top some tough local competition. Ottawa Hills won the event with 84 points, McComb Dakota (MI) scored 99 for 2nd and BG scored 104 for 3rd ahead of rivals Southview, Anthony Wayne and St. Ursula.

Galay’s hat trick leads BG rout of Woodmore in boys soccer

Led by a hat trick from Sasha Galay, the Bobcat boys soccer club cruised to a 7-1 victory over Woodmore Saturday (9-19-26).

Adding to Galay’s three, Kyzen Smallwood, Derek Hernandez. Carter Hamilton, and Justin Konecny each found the back of the net.

Sammy Gerschutz, Derek Hernadez, Kyzen Smallwood, and Jett Nazario, each had an assist.

Bobcat football takes tough 35-0 loss to Anthony Wayne

In Friday night football action (9-18-26), the BG Bobcats gave up the lead early to the Anthony Wayne Generals and were stifled the rest of the game to lose 35-0.

For BG, Robert Shannon gained 31 yards on six rushes, Grant Gillispie completed nine of 13 passes for 41 yards, and Mason Snyder made four receptions for 19 yards. The Bobcats had 90 yards in total offense.

Coach Krissy King: “The Bobcats battled and rallied but fell in the opening set, 20-25. Bowling Green came out roaring in the second, building a five-point advantage and putting the Little Giants on their heels. Ross, however, mounted a comeback, erased the deficit and rallying to take the second set 25-18before closing out the match with another 25-18 set victory in the third and final set. The Bobcats continued to fight throughout the final points but could not regain the momentum as the Little Giants completed the sweep.”

The 2026 NLL golf season concluded Wednesday on a soggy Eagles Landing Golf Course. The Bobcats shot 325 and finished in 4th place.

Patrick Cavanagh led the way with a 76, Mason Greggor 81, Maddox Barnhisel 83, London Bernath 85, Cam Gerken 91, Koby Maxey 94.

The Bowling Green Bobcat Volleyball Team came out strong against the Anthony Wayne Generalsbefore losing 1-3 in an NLL match Tuesday (9-15-26) in Whitehouse.

Coach Krissy King reported: “The Bobcats came out roaring in Set 1 to claw out a 25-18 set win!BG continued to battle fiercely in the second set, but the Generals answered back with a 25-21 win to even the match at one set apiece. Anthony Wayne carried that momentum that fueled the pace into the final two sets, taking set 3 and set 4, 25-17 and 25-16 to secure the match over the young Bobcat squad”!

Bobcat football cruises in 45-13 victory over Northview

Behind a five-touchdown performance by its quarterback, the BG Bobcats defeated Sylvania Northview, 45-13, in Friday night (9-11-26) football action.

Grant Gillispie ran for four touchdowns and completed a 58-yard pass to to Mason Snyder in the end zone. London Bernath kicked one field good and connected on all six of his extra point attempts.

Gillispie rushed 13 times for a total of 79 yards. Payton Myers rushed for 50 yards and Robert Shannon 49. Snyder led the receivers catching seven passes for 163 yards.

The Bobcats racked up 484 total yards.

Northview struck first at the 9:34 mark in the first quarter with a rushing touchdown. BG answered about three minutes later with Gillispie’s one-yard touchdown. Bernath’s extra point boot put them up by one.

The Bobcats continued to roll after that, scoring in each quarter. Myers wrapped up BG’s scoring with a nine-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

In golf, Bobcat boys’ best round tops Clay

The Bowling Green Boys Golf team defeated Clay Thursday night (9-10-26) on a rain soaked Stone Ridge Golf Course for Senior Night. The Bobcats put together their best round of the year in a 157 to 167 victory.

Mason Greggor led the way with a 37 followed by Patrick Cavanagh 38 London Bernath 40 and Carter Ernsthausen 42. Maddox Barnhisel shot 43 and Cam Gerken, 45

Next up is the 2026 NLL Tournament at Eagles Landing on Wednesday (9-16-26).

The Bowling Green Bobcat Volleyball Team closed out the week with another home-court victory, roaring past the Springfield Blue Devils in a N.L.L. Conference match-up within the Cardinal Division in a three set sweep. 25-7 | 25-14 | 25-19.

Coach Krissy King reports: “The Bobcats came out firing in Set 1, cruising to a 25-7 win, before dominating Set 2, 25-14 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match. After a slow start in the third set, BG found its rhythm and finished strong, earning a 25-19 victory to complete the sweep as the Bobcats ‘Blocked Out the Blue Devils’ for a three-set sweep!”

Despite battling leaks in both gyms at BGHS, the Bobcat volleyball team defeated Napoleon in a Northern Lakes League Cardinal Division match, 3-1, Thursday (9/3/26).

Coach Krissy King reports: “Mother Nature may have tried to keep the Bowling Green Bobcats off the court Thursday night, but the Bobcats refused to be denied, battling through two rain delays caused by roof leaks in both gyms before finally settling into Gym No. 3 for the Northern Lakes League Cardinal Division matchup with the Napoleon Wildcats.

“Despite the unusual circumstances and bouncing from gym to gym, Bowling Green came out ready to compete and edging Napoleon 25-23 in the opening set before dropping a tightly contested second set, 23-25. The Bobcats then quickly found their rhythm and settled back into a groove in the third and fourth sets, pulling away for convincing 25-15 and 25-12 victories to complete the 3-1 comeback win to ‘Pounce the Wildcats!’”

Bobcat volleyball sweeps Otsego

Bobcat Volleyball swept the Otsego Knights, 3-0, Monday(8-31-26) in a non-conference cross-town rivalry matchup in Tontogany.

Coach Krissy King reports: “The Bobcats came out strong in the opening set, controlling the tempo from the start and rolling to a 25-14 victory. After a slow start in the second set, the Bobcats battled back to find their rhythm and rallied for a 25-17 win before carrying that momentum into the third, where they continued to find their groove and dominated 25-12 to complete the sweep! The victory marked the Bobcats’ first three-set sweep and first road win of the season, providing another early-season boost as Bowling Green continues to build momentum.”

The Bowling Green Boys Cross Country team started the season strong by winning the Norm Bray Invitational at Walsh Park in Fremont on Saturday. The Bobcats placed first with 43 points, followed by Perrysburg with 69 and Northview with 86. There were 13 teams in the field.

The Bowling Green Girls Cross Country raced to a strong 2second place finish in field of 12 teams at the Norm Bray Invitationa hosted by Fremnt Ross at Walsh Park in Fremont l on Saturday (8-29-26).

Fremont Ross scored 55 points while the Bobcats scored 56 and Perrysburg scored 57.

BG girls soccer tops Bath, 2-1

The Bowling Green High girls soccer team edged out Bath 2-1 Saturday (8-29-26).

Scoring for BG were: Celia Anzicek and Leah Koester with assists from Ashley Lopez and Hayley Baker.

BG football rallies on the road to beat Bryan

The Bobcat football team overcame an early deficit to defeat Bryan 28-22 Friday (8/28/26) in Bryan.

The home team came out strong in the first quarter scoring twice to make it 15-0. BG narrowed the gap to 15-14 in the second, and then widened its lead with two touchdowns in the third, making it 28-15. Bryan added a touchdown midway through the final frame.

The Bobcats were led by quarterback Grant Gillispie who passed to Mason Snyder for a 23-yard touchdown, and then punched it in for BG’s three other touchdowns. Snyder was BG’s top receiver with three receptions for 51 yards. Gillispie completed eight of 13 pass attempts for 93 yards. He also rushed for 125 yards on 26 attempts. Peyton Myers rushed for 94 yards in 13 attempts.

Kicker London Bernath connected on all four extra points.

Clyde Fliers nip Bobcat volleyball

Bowling Green volleyball took on Clyde High School at Clyde the road Thursday (8-27-26) for a non-conference showdown.

Coach Krissy King reports: “The Bobcats battled through two tightly contested opening sets before falling behind 0-2. Refusing to fold, the Bobcats responded with authority, and dominated sets 3 and 4 by scores of 25-13 and 25-16 to force a deciding fifth set. The Bowling Green girls tenis team placed third in the Bob Wilson Memorial Tennis Tournament in Clyde on Saturday (Aug. 8)

The Bobcats had 32 points. Southview with 42 was the champion and Wollard won the second place tie breaker with 32 points.

Katelyn Cheatwood of Bowling Green won in the third singles.

Bobcat softball tops Fremont Ross, 4-3 in 9-inning game

The Bobcat softball team scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth to win 4-3 in a back-and-forth contest with Fremont Ross Tuesday, May 26, in Bowling Green.

The win came after Fremont rallied to tie the game at 3-3 in the top of the seventh.

Jules Firsdon earned the complete game win, throwing 150 pitches, 104 for strikes. She also had three hits.

Arianny Miller, Kennedy Gerken, and Reese Miklavic each drove in a run.

The Bobcat softball team held off the Southview Cougars to earn a 9-7 victory in Sylvania, Friday, May 8.

BG took the lead in the first and held it despite Sylvania rallying, including scoring two in the bottom of the seventh.

Jules Firsdon got the complete game win, striking out 12. Kelsey Kline led the offense driving in four runs.

Bobcats rally to top Fremont Ross, 2-1

The Bobcat softball rallied in the sixth inning for two runs to erase a one run deficit to secure a 2-1 win over Fremont Ross in Fremont Saturday, May 9.

Jules Firsdon struck out 11 to secure the complete game win. Kelsey Kline drove in the winning run.

BG tennis tops Archbold

Bowling Green defeated Archbold 5-0 in a non-league boys tennis match Monday, May 4 at Archbold HS to improve to 7-9 on the season.

Singles winners for BG were Isaac Naus over Luke Ward 6-0, 6-0; Eric Jiang over Tobias Heidenreich 6-0, 6-1; and Gavin Roessner over Braxton Nofziger, 6-2, 6-0.

Bobcat softball defeats Whitmer 7-4

The Bowling Green girls softball team defeated Whitmer 7-4 at home on Monday, May 4.

BG collected eight hits while Whitmer had six. The Bobcats scored in the 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings, while Whitmer scored all four of its runs in the 6th.

Kennedy Gerken led Bowling Green with 3 hits, including a double and triple, and two RBIs.

Jules Firsdon had two hits, scored twice, and pitched a complete game with five strikeouts to earn the win.

BG boys tennis slips 3-2 to Southview

The Bowling Green boys tennis team lost a close league match to Southview High School 3-2 at BGSU Thursday, April 30.

Southview won the top two singles matches, with Landon Vens defeating Isaac Naus 6-0, 6-0 and Adam Zheng beating Eric Jiang 6-3, 6-4.

Bowling Green’s Tomas Bes Sanz picked up a win at third singles, 6-3, 6-2 over Mason Brown.

In doubles, Keegan Kriska and Dylan Eckel won a three-set match 6-2, 4-6, 6-4, but Southview secured the match at second doubles as Daniel Yun and Kenshin Kim defeated Jaxon Windom and Colton Barricklow 6-2, 6-3.

The loss brings Bowling Green to 6-9 overall and 3-7 in the Northern Lakes League.

BG JV tennis takes narrow loss to St. John’s

The Bowling Green High School boys JV tennis team competed in a match against St. John’s Jesuit High School at BGSU Wednesday, April 29.

The match was close, with St. John’s winning 4-3. Bowling Green earned victories from Griffin Fulford in singles, as well as doubles teams Joey Burt/Dylan Steiner and Blaine Partin/Alexander Sands. Despite the strong efforts by BG, St. John’s secured the overall win.

BG softball earns 7-4 road win in Springfield

The Bobcat softball squad took a first inning two run lead over home team Springfield and built on it for a 7-4 win Wednesday, April 29.

Jules Firsdon had three hits and ptched a complete game with four strike outs. Kennedy Gerken drove in three runs and Lily Wagner drove in two. Arianny Miller also had an RBI.

Bowling Green lacrosse suffered two losses this week.

On Tuesday (April 21) the Bobcats lost 2-15 in an away match at Anthony Wayne.

Cole Nagle scored two goals, both with assists from Nolan Winger. Mason Gilsdorf- was 13 for 21 on faceoffs and Jason Pierson had 16 saves

On Thursday, April 23, the Bobcats narrowly lost a 7-8 overtime match at Ottawa Hills.

Carsen Rath, Antwon Lawrence, Konner Chambers, Nick Yarger, London Bernath, and Jason Pierson excelled on defense

Nolan Winger scored four goals and had two assists. Cole Nagle, Jackson Martin, and Thomas Rothenbuhler each scored a goal with Rothenbuhler having assists. Pierson had 17 saves.

Bobcat baseball cruises to 8-2 win in Napoleon

On Monday (4-2026), the Bobcats baseball team took the lead in the third and then sealed their 8-2 victory over home team Napoleon with a four-run seventh .

Grant Gillespie led the offense with two RBI with Trent Thompson and Colby Joseph each knocking a run in. Cash Wisniewski threw 97 pitches, 67 for strikes, to earn the complete game win.

The Bobcat softball team dropped a 6-2 decision at home to visitors NapoleonWednesday, April 8.

Bobcat softball opens season with 3-1 win over Otsego Knights

The Bobcat softball team rallied in the late innings to top Otsego, 3-1 in the season opener on Wednesday (3-25-2026)

Pitcher Jules Firsdon held Otsego to five hits to record the win. She also hit a double and triple, scoring a run and driving in another. Holding the Knights in check before the Bobcats came back in the sixth and seventh innings.

Hannah Sayler also contributed two hits and drove in a run to BG’s nine-hit offense.

BGHS Varsity Girls Bowling Team punced their ticket to states by finishing as S as district runners up Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Port Clinton.

Coach Armando Calderon said the bowlers showed grit as they rallied from third with 11 pins down after the three team games to take second after the six-game Baker format. They gained their 62 pins lead in the fifth and sixth games topping third place Van Wert. Celina came out in first with 3869 pins to BG’s 3394.

Calderon, who has coached the team for five yrears, said: “I am in loss of words. This group of girls have set goals for themselves and achieve them all. I love the fact as a coach, but as also a parent (of a bowler) who is a freshman on this team (and) is able to follow the footsteps of her older sisters, who both accomplished a lot in their BG Bowling High School career. She is part of building this program back to championship caliber along with all her teammates.”

Varsity girls bowling advances to districts

BGHS Varsity Girls Bowling Team placed third sectional competition Friday (2-20) to advance to the district meet on Tuesday Feb. 24 at Star Lanes at the Harbor in Port Clinton.

The team scored 751, 770, 830, for a total of 2351.

Members of the BGHS swim team hav e qualified to compete in the district swim meet this weekend.

The D2 Boys will compete on today (Feb. 20) with events beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Mikey Stanford will swim the 50 and 100 freestyle.
Stone Chamberlin will compete in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke.
Aidan Jacks will swim the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke.
Jackson Fallis will compete in the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.
Collin Mahan will swim the 500 freestyle.

BGHS boys will also compete in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 400 freestyle relay.

Elmwood will be represented by Brayden Miller in the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke. Lakota’s Benett Ebert will swim the 50 and 100 freestyle, and Landen Graber will compete in the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke.

The D1 Girls will compete on Saturday morning, Feb.21, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

BGHS girls basketball team picked up a home victory, defeating Springfield 53–19 on Senior Night, Thursday, Feb. 5.

Molly Shafer led the Bobcats with 21 points, while Kate Howick added 11.

Ella Jordan had 9 points for Springfield.

With the win, BG improves to 6–13 overall and 4–5 in league.

Bowling Green High School girls swim team placed fourth in the NWOAC Championships Saturday (Jan. 31).

The Bobcats scored 251 points. Napoleon won with 396 points

Bobcat boys & girls bowling teams each pick up wins in Perrysburg

BG Bowling picked up a win against Perrysburg on Jan. 13 2026.

The boys team won 2449-2434, led by Porter Dimmick with games of 202 and 222 for a 424 series. Andrew Kee Jr. rolled a 230, Conner Main added a 213, and Casper Burns had a 210.

The girls team won 2089-1488. Isabelle Grames led the way with games of 188 and 186 for a 374 series. Magdelin Landry bowled a 198, and Isabella Calderon finished with a 174.

Bobcat girls basketball downs Clay in home game

The Bowling Green girls basketball team defeated Clay at home, 57–21., Thursday (1-15-2026).

Maddie Gillispie led the scoring with 17 points, while Molly Shafer and Kate Scarletto-Scholl each added 12 points.

For Clay, C. McGilvray led with 14 points. With the win, BG improves to 4–9 overall.

Bobcats bowling has split decision against Maumee

On Jan. 9, The Bowling Green Bowling team faced Maumee. The BG boys team lost with a score of 2355 to Maumee’s 2658. The BGHS girls team earned a win, scoring 2007 while Maumee finished with 1707, and remains undefeated.

Leading individual scores for the BG boys were Conner Main with 254 and Lukas Wesley with 233.

Top performers for the BGHS girls were Isabelle Grames with 181, Magdelin Landry with 175, and Addison Nickey with 174.

Bobcat girls swim team 2nd in Cardinal Division; boys team places 4th

The Bowling Green High School boys and girls swim teams competed Saturday (1/10/26) in the 2026 NLL Championships at the Student Recreation Center at Bowling Green State University. BGHS is in the Cardinal Division.

Girls are Cardinal Division runner-up

The girls placed second with a score of 259 in the Cardinal Division behind Napoleon with a score of 337.

Mia Buff helped set the pace with an NLL record setting 56.29 swim in the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke.

The Bobcat boys team placed fourth in the Cardinal Fremont Ross won the Cardinal Division meet.

Bobcat bowling teams continue their winning ways

The BGHS varsity bowling teams continued their winning season with wins over Old Fort on Jan. 6 and Springfield on Ja. 8.

On Ja. 6 against Old Fort, the BG boys earned a 2547-2202 victory. Conner Main led the team with games of 223 and 263, while Casper Burns had a 245. Porter Dimmick added a 214, and Andrew Kee Jr. finished with a 211.

The BG girls also picked up a win, defeating Old Fort 2127-1483. Zoe Brujic led the way with a 199, and Maggie Landry followed with a 180.

On Jan. 8 against Springfield, the varsity boys won again with a score of 2427-1960. Conner Main had a high game of 220, and Casper Burns added a 211. The varsity girls continued their undefeated season with a 2013-1628 win over Springfield. Isabelle Grames led the team with a 199, while Addison Nickey contributed a 175.

With the two victories, the BG boys improved to 8-2 overall, including a 3-1 conference record and a 5-1 mark in non-conference play.

The BG girls remain undefeated at 10-0 overall, 4-0 in conference, and 6-0 in non-conference competition.

Bowing Green girls basketball team dropped a home match Thursday (1-8-25) to Fremont Ross 23-59.

Kate Scarletto-Scholl accounted for 8 of the Bobcats’ points.

Bobcats girls basketball steam rolls Cardinal Stritch

Bowling Green girls basketball had a strong 67–22 home win over Cardinal Stritch on Dec. 30.

The Bobcats blew open the game with 23 points in the first quarter.

Maddie Gillispie led Bowling Green with 22 points and Kate Scarletto-Scholl added 18 points. Cardinal Stritch was led by A. Hill, who scored 16 points.

Bowling Green played Liberty Center at home Saturday, Dec. 13, but fell 45-33.

The BGHS Wrestling Team placed 9th out of 22 teams at Coldwater.

The Bowling Green girls basketball team faced Napoleon Friday, Dec. 12 and fell by a final score of 52-19.

Maddie Gillispie led the Bobcats with 9 points, while Kate Scarletto-Scholl followed with 8 points.

For Napoleon, T. Ressler finished with 18 points. A. Good added 13 points, securing the victory for Napoleon.

Bobcats bowl over Whitmer

On Tuesday, Dec. 9, the BGHS varsity bowling teams delivered strong performances at Whitmer Bowlero Lanes in Toledo. The BGHS boys team put together an impressive total score of 2340, defeating Whitmer’s 1854.

Conner Main led the way with an outstanding 278 game and a 458 two-game match. Andrew Kee Jr. added 217, while Porter Dimick contributed 200, helping secure the win.

The BGHS girls team also came out on top, finishing with a 2089 to Whitmer’s 1604. Isabelle Grames led the team with a score of 205, and Magdelin Landry had scores of 160 and 166.

The BG girls basketball team lost at home Tuesday (Dec. 9) as Sylvania Northview led wire to wire. Final score was 61-16.

Bobcat bowling came away with a split decision Monday (Dec. 8) against Maumee.

After leading through the first three quarters, Bowling Green could not match Sylvania Southview’s 18-point fourth quarter, Friday (Dec. 5). The Bobcats lost the home game 47-44, dropping to 1-4 overall, and 1-1 in league play.

Leading scorers for BG were: Maddie Gillispie 15, and Kate Scarletto-Scholl and Molly Shafer, each with 6.

BGHS boys and girls bowling teams scored wins Tuesday (12-2-25) over Anthony Wayne.
