An assistant boys soccer coach at Bowling Green High School has tested positive for COVID-19.
Superintendent Francis Scruci said letters were sent out to parents on Wednesday about the positive case.
“The good news is no kids came in close contact with him,” so none of the teammates need to quarantine, Scruci said.
The assistant coach is quarantining, and families have been advised that if their students start showing any symptoms of the virus that they contact their health care providers.
The district followed its protocols for handling COVID-19 cases, as directed by the Wood County Health Department, Scruci said.
