As former classmates gather to celebrate their 50th reunion, the Bowling Green High School Class of 1974 is looking to pass on a legacy of learning.
The reunion will take place on Sept. 6 and 7 – with the hopes of reconnecting, rekindling friendships and reliving good memories.
Events will begin on Friday, Sept. 6, from 7 to 10 p.m., with pizza and a cash bar at Bar 149, located at 149 N. Main St. The cost will be $10 per person.
The reunion will continue on Saturday, Sept. 7, with a series of events:
- 9 a.m. – Tour of Bowling Green High School.
- 10 a.m. – Golf at Bowling Green Country Club. Email Kent at reichert1017@yahoo.com for a tee time.
- 7 to 10 p.m. – Heavy grazing and cash bar at BG Country Club, 923 Fairview Ave. Cost is $30 per person.

A block of 30 hotel rooms is reserved at Holiday Inn Express, 2150 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green. Call the hotel to reserve by Aug. 6, and mention code BGH or Class of 1974.
A class photo will be taken at the reunion Saturday evening.
The Class of 1974 is also undertaking a fundraising project to establish an endowed scholarship at BGHS to yearly support a graduating senior. The fund will be managed by the Toledo Community Foundation and awarded through BGHS. The class seeks to raise a minimum of $25,000 to establish the scholarship which will be invested in the foundation and paid out annually, at a current rate of $1,000 to the institution where the graduating senior will attend.
