Long-time English teacher at Bowling Green High School, Jennifer Dever, is retiring effective July 1.
The board of education accepted her retirement during Tuesday evening’s meeting.
“She’s done an outstanding job in our district as a teacher,” Superintendent Francis Scruci said.
“To lose someone of her caliber” will be a big loss for the district, he added.
“I can’t thank you enough,” Scruci said to Dever during the meeting. “I’m sure the thousands of kids you impacted can’t thank you enough for what you have done for them.”
Her husband, High School Principal Jeff Dever, is also retiring at the end of the school year.
