The Bowling Green High School Girls Tennis Team participated in the Bob Wilson Memorial Tennis Tournament at Clyde High School on Saturday (8/10).

The BGHS team finished the day as the overall team winner with 46 total points.

This tournament means a lot to Bowling Green because some of Bob Wilson’s descendants reside in Bowling Green and have played tennis on the BGHS Girls Tennis Team. The format was a six-team tournament with each match consisting of a 10-game pro-set.  Points were awarded to each team based on the finish position of each flight.

Individually, Julia Barnett finished first in the 1st Singles Flight, and Sarah Mathey finished first in the 2nd Singles Flight. Lily Rader finished second in the 3rd Singles Flight.

In doubles play, Zoe Brujic/Teeda Cromwell finished first in the 1st Doubles Flight, and Lexie Bechstein/Mimi Faulkner finished second in the 2nd Doubles Flight.
