The number of new COVID-19 cases reported at Bowling Green State University continues to decline.
From Feb. 8 through Feb. 14, 25 new cases were reported – 20 students, 65 percent of whom live off campus, one faculty, and four staff. That compares to 34 cases last week and 60 the week before.
BGSU has reported 255 cases since the beginning of the semester.
Four residential students who have tested positive are in isolation on campus while nine who have been exposed to the coronavirus are in quarantine in residence halls.
The university has conducted 1,085 tests of symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals in the last week and found 22 cases, a 2-percent positivity rate, which compares to a 9-percent positivity rate statewide.
Since the first of the year, 8,686 tests have been administered, and 331 cases detected, a 3.8 percent positivity rate.
