BGSU hosting Electronics Recycling Drive

BGSU’s annual Electronics Recycling Drive will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. to  1 p.m. Thecollection drive will take place in BGSU’s Lot 10, on the north side of the parking lot for the Slater Family Ice Arena (417 N Mercer Rd). Entry is off N. Mercer Road — follow signage and cones. Volunteers will unload vehicles in this drive-thru style event.

This is a chance to recycle unwanted, outdated or broken electronics of all kinds in an environmentally friendly way through BGSU’s partnership with AIM eCycling. This includes certified destruction of hard drives and data-bearing devices.

What can be recycled? Anything with a cord or that’s battery operated. Computers and IT equipment, wires/cables/cords, batteries of all kinds, speakers, radios, phones, AV equipment, video games, household appliances, power tools, light ballasts (No-PCBs), fans and more.

Note: No tube TVs or CRT screens. These will not be collected at the event. Those can be properly disposed of for a fee during business hours at ERG Environmental Services, located at 527 E Woodland Circle, Bowling Green. 

Only flatscreen TVs/monitors will be accepted at the event.
