The BGSU choral singers are hosting a sing along of W.A. Mozart’s “Requiem,” Monday, Nov. 8 from 7-8:30 p.m. in Kobacker Auditorium on the Bowling Green State University campus
The event is open to anyone who loves the Mozart Requiem. Scores will be provided for those that need them. The first portion of the evening will be a short rehearsal of some of the more challenging choruses and then they will start a “sing through” around 7:45 p.m..
The idea is to give students and community members an opportunity to experience this choral masterwork in a casual, relaxed setting.
The event is sponsored by the BGSU student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association and will feature student and faculty soloists, pianists, and conductors:
Soloists will be: Mickey Emch, soprano, doctoral student; Ellen Scholl, mezzo-soprano, faculty; Christopher Scholl, tenor, faculty; and Keith Phares, baritone, faculty.
Pianists will be Mark Munson, faculty, and Steven Naylor, senior music major.
Conductors will be: Mackenzie Hengler Heaney, Alex Kuhn, Anna Murcko and Matthew Radford, all graduate students; Jaeeun Schermerhorn, senior music major; and Richard Schnipke, faculty.
