Boom Fest is a patriotic blast with food, fun, tunes, & fireworks

The Boom Fest presented by the BG Chamber of Commerce at the Wood County Fairgrounds drew a crowd of celebrants.

Face to Face Climbing and a bounce house were part of the attractions at Boom Fest.

The festival had bounce houses for the younger set. A concert of patriotic tunes featuring folks sounds, the swinging score from “The Incredibles,” the armed forces medley, and closing with “God Bless America.”

Food trucks offered a range of savory and sweet items to appeal to young and old.

Northcoast Deli and Mr. Melon was one of the concessions drawing lines of diners.

Then once the sun went down, and dark settled over the area at something after 10 p.m., the 30-minute display of fireworks by Rozzi Fireworks and set off the National Tractor Pullers Championship headquarters on Haskins Road.
