The Brown Bag Food Project will hold a two-day food distribution drop off on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 17, noon to 2 p.m. at 530 Sand Ridge Road.
The Brown Bag has been coordinating the MLK food drive, which started in 2009, for a number of years. In the past, volunteers, many of the Bowling Green State University students, have canvassed neighborhoods throughout the city to collect food and hygiene items.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions and concerns, that is not possible this year.
Those wishing to donate are asked to drop off non-perishable, in-date cans and boxes of food as well as hygiene items at Brown Bag’s building across from the head of the Slippery Elm Trail on Sand Ridge Road.
