The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce presents a Lunch and Learn webinar in collaboration with OhioMeansJobs and the Wood County Educational Service Center entitled “Resources for Workforce Development”. This virtual event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 22 from noon to 1 p.m. with guest speakers Mary DeWitt, Workforce Administrator at the OhioMeansJobs Wood County Center and Dolly Inman, Case Manager for the Wood County Educational Service Center.
The webinar will discuss the ways that OhioMeansJobs may be able to assist employers in hiring, training, and retaining employees. It will explain the availability of training dollars that you can take advantage of to help off-set the high cost of hiring and training. It will also offer information about how employers can mentor youth while receiving funds to help cover those expenses, cultivating the next workforce generation.
Mary DeWitt has been the Workforce Administrator at Ohio Means Jobs Wood County for the past 14 years. In this position, she partners with businesses and industry to assist in their hiring and training needs. She also works with job seekers to ensure they are fully trained and are job ready. Before coming to this position, she served in the private sector for several companies as Operations Manager, Human Resource Manager and Regional Recruiter. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University.
Dolly Inman has over a decade of successful case management experience. Dolly’s pursuit to assist others to achieve self-growth, is also one she practices herself. With a passion for helping others reach their full potential, Dolly’s approach is straightforward, encouraging, and compassionate. She graduated from Urbana University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. She continued her education by obtaining her Chemical Dependency Counseling Assistant certificate to better serve those in her sphere of influence.
The Lunch & Learn is free to BG Chamber Investors and $10 for Non-Investors.
