From CITY OF BOWLING GREEN
The City of Bowling Green is inviting eligible homeowners to apply for the Home Repair Program, which provides financial assistance to help residents address essential repairs and improve the safety of their homes.
The program is designed to assist low-to-moderate-income households that fall within specific annual income limits based on household size. To qualify, total gross household income before taxes must be below the following limits: up to $53,100 for a one-person household, $60,700 for two people, $68,300 for three people, $75,850 for four people, and $81,950 for five people.
Assistance is available in the form of grants or forgivable loans, depending on eligibility. Qualified repairs may include roofing, heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, accessibility modifications, and other necessary repairs required to keep a home safe and habitable.
Residents who believe they may qualify are encouraged to apply as soon as possible, as funding is limited and assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants will be placed on a waiting list and assisted in the order applications are received.
