City putting new labels on recycling container lids

City truck picks up recyclables.

As a result of Bowling Green’s newly expanded recycling program, city crews will be placing new labels on the recycling container lids. This work will take place at the curb on regular recycling/refuse collection days.

Label placement is weather dependent and will be ongoing as crews work to update more than 5,500 containers throughout the city.

In addition to the previously accepted materials, residents may now recycle curbside glass containers, wax cartons, paperback books, and an expanded list of plastics. Full details are available on the City’s website: www.bgohio.org. Residents can also search the “What Goes Where Tool?” on the City’s Recycle Coach App.
