County reports 7 new cases, 1 new death from COVID; down to 15 cases per 100,000 residents

Wood County has reported seven new cases and one new death from COVID-19 since Monday. 

The county is now up to 13,270 confirmed and probable cases from COVID, 226 deaths and 655 hospitalizations since last March, according to the Thursday, June 10, update from the Wood County Health Department. 

The county is down to 15 COVID cases per 100,000 residents.

Every Thursday, the Wood County Health Department lists “active cases” by ZIP codes. As of this week, the only active cases were reported in Perrysburg, which had five.

For the first time in months, no new cases were reported in local schools or long-term care facilities.

Wood County has surpassed 50% of its residents getting at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. As of today, 67,003 local residents (51.22%) have gotten at least one shot.
