Daisy still at dog shelter, waiting for a patient owner to show her the world isn’t such a scary place

Meet Daisy, one of the dogs from Toledo dropped off at the Wood County Dog Shelter, who is still looking for a forever home. She is spayed, up to date on all of her shots, and heartworm negative.

“She is a complete sweetheart, but will need a patient owner who is willing to take the time to show her the world is not so scary,” said Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding. “She would benefit from having another dog in the home to help show her the ropes, but a home with older kids is recommended because of how nervous she is. With a little time and patience, Miss Daisy would be the perfect companion.”

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
