Dale F. Daman Jr, 57, passed away on March 15, 2024.
Dale was born in Bowling Green and graduated from Eastwood High School. Interested in many things, he graduated from Owens Community College and Bowling Green State University and attended the University of Toledo Law School. He worked as a Licensed Professional Nurse at several nursing homes. Dale was known for visiting the residents with his dogs and cats and for taking games, toys and special treats to amuse developmentally challenged clients during their hospital stays.
Dale was a gifted baker and cook, especially interested in cuisines from throughout the world. He donated countless pies and cookies to Troy American Legion and Auxiliary. Dale practiced many art forms, especially known for handmade beads and Scherenschnitte, German “scissor-cutting” paper designs.
Dale is survived by his uncle Lewis Harrison, Jr. (Donna); aunt Diane Minarik; sisters Carol Beckley and Laurel Daman; nephews and nieces Harrison Daman (Jessica Neuman), Genevieve Cunningham (Justin), Craig Daman (Michelle Pitzen) and Victoria Daman; and great-nephews and nieces Aiden, Gracie, Landon, Cameron, Lexi, Cheyenne, Braydon and Jonathan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lewis and Mabel Harrison, Sr. and William and Helen Daman; parents Dale and Dorothy Daman, Sr.; aunts and uncles Maybelle and Willis McClane, Grace Daman, Charles and Lois Peabody, Lloyd and Mary Daman, David and May Daman; and cousin Jeffery Daman.
Dale will be laid to rest at a family graveside service in Webster Township Cemetery. A memorial service will be planned at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Wood County Humane Society.
