After Monday’s Bowling Green City Council meeting, First Ward council member Damon Sherry sent out an email informing the public of his resignation as of Friday (9/6). Sherry, a Democrat who was elected to council last November, said he had accepted a position as an elections administrator with the Wood County Board of Elections.
Bowling Green City Council President Mark Hollenbaugh said late Monday evening that the replacement process involves Wood County Democratic Party Chairperson Zach Schmidt accepting applications for the position.
The Wood County Democratic Central Committee member will then select a replacement, Hollenbaugh said.
