Douglas J. Murphy, 72, of Weston, Ohio passed away September 2, 2026. He was born December 12, 1953 in Bowling Green to the late Richard and Karis (Taulker) Murphy. He married Willie Chirstopher on July 11, 1987 and she survives.
Doug obtained his Master’s Degree from Purdue University and went on to work as a scientist and botanist for Purdue University and The University of Toledo. He was a skilled woodworker, loved spending time gardening and was an avid fisherman.
Doug is survived by his wife of 39 years, Willie, his nephew and caretaker Lou Christopher. He was a loved brother-in-law and also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Services for Doug will be private. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
