Elise Nikole Chibucos was born April 1, 1974 in Washington, D.C. and died July 25, 2026 in Phoenix Arizona at the age of 52. She spent most of her childhood in Dekalb, Illinois participating in many sports, band, orchestra, and theater activities before graduating from Dekalb High School in 1992. Elise earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) in 2001 and an associate degree from Mesa Community College (Arizona) in 2014.
We will remember her vibrant personality, her many musical talents, her complex intellect, and her persistence and tenacity throughout life’s challenges. She loved Denny’s Grand Slam Breakfast, black kittens, colorful and comfortable clothes, rings for many fingers, the music of Faith No More, and the art of Salvador Dali.
Elise is survived by her siblings Thomas Alexander (Michelle), Marcus Constantine (Kandi), and Elizabeth Marie, as well as four nephews, one niece and her stepmother, Pamela E. Chibucos. She was predeceased by her loving father, Thomas R. Chibucos.
To honor Elise’s memory, the family requests contributions to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
