Bowling Green State University will hold its fifth TEDxBGSU event, an independently organized speaker series, from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, in the Multipurpose Room of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.

Continuing its central theme of “For the Public Good,” the free, public event is presented by the C. Raymond Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement and Life Design at BGSU and will feature fresh perspectives from 18 speakers in the learning community spanning five categories – ignite, transform, conquer, forward and momentum.

“We are so proud to present our fifth TEDxBGSU with an exciting lineup of 18 talented speakers,” said Kendra Lutes, event organizer and associate director of the Marvin Center for Student Leadership and Civic Engagement at BGSU. “This year’s event focuses on taking action, encouraging the audience to consider the ways in which they can conquer new challenges, transform their communities and gain momentum toward their goals.”

  • Madalyn Thayer – How social media is reigniting the agricultural movement, 10:45 a.m.
