First Presbyterian Church in Bowling Green will host a conversation about climate change on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. The event will feature Travis Chapin, of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby.
The program will be held in the fellowship hall in the basement of the church at 126 S. Church St.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a nonpartisan climate education organization. This discussion will address questions such as:
- What is a ton of carbon?
- What is the science behind global warming?
The only political aspect of the discussion will address efforts to stop dumping fossil fuel waste into the air for free, according to Chapin. Though the Citizens’ Climate Lobby tries to influence political decisions, Chapin’s presentation will be geared toward climate education.
