From FIREFLY NIGHTS
Firefly Nights, a free family-fun festival, will return tomorrow evening, Friday, June 26, from 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., rain or shine. The festival will feature live music, kid zones, food trucks, face painting, and more. The Bowling Green Community Foundation will have tiles available to paint that will become part of a larger mural that will be installed in the City Administration Building.
Block A, from Oak to Court streets, will be a family-friendly activity zone with activities for all ages. There will be trampolines, life-sized inflatable bowling, a kids craft area, face painting, cornhole games, and tables and seating.
Block B, from Court to Wooster streets, will feature a mix of local artisans, entertainment, and interactive activities throughout the evening. There will be vendors, music by DJ Devonte, Thayer Family Dealership racecar tracks, the Bowling Green Fire Division, and a first aid station provided by Wood County Hospital staff. From 6 – 7 p.m. and 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., members of Julie’s Dance Studio will perform. At 7 p.m. Visit BG will host a toy drop from The Attic balcony, where attendees can catch free squish toys.
Block C, from Wooster to Clough streets, will feature the information booth, live entertainment, interactive activities, and opportunities to connect with local organizations. In addition to vendors, the State Bank Gives Truck will be offering root beer floats for a free-will donation, Draw Me Bots will transform photos into custom drawings, and BGSU will have an activity zone. There will also be an area for sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and hands-on activities for all ages. Leadfoot Granny will perform from 6 – 7:30 p.m., and Kick It will perform from 8 – 9 p.m. Tables and seating are available within this block.
Block D, from Clough to Washington streets, will feature food trucks, face painting, an inflatable slide, and tables and seating.
