Bowling Green State University will host a groundbreaking for its new Robert W. and Patricia A. Maurer Center Oct. 13.
The event will begin at 10 a.m. on the lawn in front of the former Hanna Hall and will include remarks from BGSU President Rodney Rogers, Raymond Braun, dean of the BGSU College of Business; Daniel Keller, chair of the BGSU Board of Trustees; Nijah Slaughter, business administration student; and the Maurer family.
Robert Maurer, a 1965 BGSU alumnus, and Patricia Maurer made a transformative gift of $5 million to fund the new business facility, which will open in the fall of 2020. The state-of-the-art building will create a culture of engagement, innovation and creativity, with a focus on spaces and classrooms that foster active learning and collaboration.
The groundbreaking will be streamed live on www.facebook.com/bgsubiz/.
