Each of the homes on has four bedrooms and two baths that will provide a decent and affordable space for the families for years to come. Habitat conducts a Home Builders Blitz Build every other year in partnership with local builders.

Ridge Stone Builders and Lakeside Interior Contractors returned as partners in 2021 after building us Habitat in 2019. Without the support of these two builders, “we would not be able to build these two houses. They partner with us to provide a lot of the funds, materials and labor”, says executive director Mark Ohashi.

During the event supporters heard from the homeowners, Gage Markel expressed, “Dads know one word and that’s proud and I am very proud at this moment, my family has a home and I helped to build it”. Both families completed more than 500 hours of sweat equity each, showing a strong commitment to their journey toward homeownership.

Attendees watched as the homeowners cut the ribbons at each of their new homes signifying the start of their new chapter as homeowners.
