Habitat for Humanity home in Weston undergoes rehab as part of 2024 Women Build project

One of the Habitat for Humanity houses built in 2017 in Weston, has been rehabbed.

Habitat for Humanity of Wood County will hold a home dedication ceremony and community celebration for a home that was rehabbed for the Murphy family in Weston, on Wednesday, Sept. 15, from 5-6 p.m. Weston Mayor Jeremy Schroeder will speak at the event.

There will be home tours and refreshments to celebrate this milestone for the family. This home was rehabbed by women and a few men as part of the 2024 Women Build project, “Strong Women Build Together.” Habitat and support from the community provided the financial support for this home.

This dedication ceremony celebrates a family who has completed their journey to homeownership through Habitat for Humanity of Wood County. The family completed more than 200 sweat equity hours that included working on their future home, assisted other families working on their homes, plus completed financial training and home maintenance classes. This home will have an affordable mortgage provided by Habitat for Humanity of Wood County.

The home’s address is 20436 Brooke Lane, Weston. Register to attend by emailing sarai@wchabitat.org or by calling the Habitat office at 419-481-8100.
