Meet Calvin – a 2-3-year-old red lab mix that came to the shelter as a stray.
He has the typical happy-go-lucky lab attitude and loves everybody he meets. He will be your best friend if you toss a tennis ball. He loves stuffed animals, and loves to pick his own out to take back to his kennel with him.
Calvin is neutered and up-to-date on his DA2PP and Bordetella vaccines. He does well with the other dogs at the shelter and is just a really nice boy, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
