House Bill 6, which provides money to bail out nuclear and coal plants and guts green energy mandates on power companies, passed the Ohio House today (May 29) on a 53-43 vote.
Haraz Ghanbari (R-Perrysburg) who represents Wood County voted in favor. He was a co-sponsor of the bill.
At the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce’s legislative update on Friday, Bowling Green Mayor Richard Edwards said the bill would cost the city $400,000 in lost subsidies for its green energy initiatives.
