Jennifer L Hutchisson

Jennifer L. “Jeni” Hutchisson, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, June 25, 2026, in Dresden, OH. She was born on April 3, 1971, to David and Sharen (Takacs) Wash in Bay Village, OH and graduated from Sheffield Lake High School.

On February 2, 2018, she married William Hutchisson II in Bowling Green, OH. With each of their respective daughters, Jeni and Billy created a beautiful, blended family and celebrated over nine years of life together before Billy’s passing in 2023.

In her youth, Jeni worked at Cedar Point. She then went on to work as a store associate and ended with traveling inventory setup for more than 15 years with Walmart. She later served as a paraprofessional for Bowling Green City Schools for five years.

Beyond her family, Jeni was truly a creative soul with a passion for arts and crafts, especially crocheting. She expressed her love through handmade gifts for family and friends. She enjoyed wearing hats of all kinds, attending motorcycle rallies, and camping with friends. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she loved going all out for the occasion. Most Octobers, you would find her at the annual Sandusky Witches Walk. Her dogs held a special place in her heart. Jeni was also a member of 14th Ward Oldtime Ballplayers Association. She was gifted at making new friends wherever she went. Jeni’s colorful spirit and kind personality were cherished by all who knew her.

It is not possible to wrap your arms around a loved one who leaves, but it is possible to wrap your heart around a memory. Jeni’s memory will be well taken care of.

Jeni is survived by her daughters, Madeline Potts of Woodville and Dominique Hutchisson of Toledo; her mother, Sharen Takacs of Perrysburg; and her brother, Joseph (Jessie) Wash of Georgia. She is also survived by her in-laws, Fred and Kim Sander of Pemberville, and Bill and Pam Hutchisson of Toledo, and her best friend Shelley Romell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy.

Family and friends will be received at a day and time to be announced. Jennifer will be laid to rest next to Billy at a public graveside service to be announced as well in Troy Township Cemetery,
