Jose M. Flores Jr., 75, passed away at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green.
Jose listened to his last song, Into the Mystic by Van Morrison, on February 10th. He passed away in the early hours of February 11, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Jose M. Flores Sr. and Concepcion (Ramos) Flores; sisters Lucia Ibarra and Jo Ann McNally.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Ellen Flores, daughters: Dawn Flores, Desiree Santana Flores; bonus daughter Mandy Hamilton and son Idalgo Flores. He had 5 grandchildren. Steven Hetz, John Hetz Jr., Rosemary (Hetz) George, Justin Miller and Dawn Miller. He had 6 great granddaughters and 2 great grandsons. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters Mary Jane Perez, Delphina Ibarra, Gloria Alvardo, Connie Flores, Ricardo Flores, Israel Flores, Melinda Keith, Edward Flores, Ray Flores, Hugo Flores and many nieces and nephews.
Jose did 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. From 5/66-5/67 and from 6/68-1/69. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Per Jose’s wishes no funeral or viewing will take place.
