Larry P. Farnham, 70, of Bowling Green passed away on June 4, 2016. He was born in Defiance, Ohio on April 6, 1946 to Prescott and Virginia (White) Farnham. Larry is survived by his sister, Hollis Huntington of Bowling Green, niece, Heather Huntington, her children; Haley, Zac and Gabriella, nephew, Craig (Jaime) Huntington and daughter, Natalie, and Larry’s fiancé, Sharon Upperco. Larry graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts from BGSU, a law degree from the University of Toledo Law School, and associated degree in accounting from Owen’s Technical School. He worked as a Property Title Researcher for the Ohio Department of Transportation, retiring after 32 years. During that time he was recipient of an award from the Department of Administrative Services for his suggestion to increase efficiency and save taxpayer money. Upon retirement Larry became an active volunteer. He volunteered over 15 years at Wood County Senior Center delivering meals and helping the staff. In 2010 the Wood County Committee on Aging nominated him for the 2010 American Volunteer Award, a national contest. He won 3rd place in the nation. Larry also enjoyed volunteering at First United Methodist Church and Wood County Hospital. He enjoyed following sports, reading, baking cookies and being with his friends and family. Larry was a 45 year member of First United Methodist Church, 37 year member of the Bowling Green Curling Club, the Eagles and Bowling Green Falcon Club. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, 1526 E Wooster Street in Bowling Green beginning at 11:00am. Pastors Tom Moyer and Tom Mellott will officiate with Interment to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10am until service time.
