Due to the weather, Bowling Green City School District has announced that school will be canceled on Monday (Jan. 26).

The Wood County Committee on Aging (WCCOA) announced that all WCCOA locations will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26, due to snow accumulation and blowing/drifting snow across the county expected throughout the day. This closure includes all sites, meals, appointments, transportation, and programming across the county.

Home delivered meal clients are asked to use their shelf-stable and frozen meals. WCCOA employees will conduct wellness check phone calls throughout the day to ensure home delivered meal client safety. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact WCCOA at 419-353-5661. 

Bowling Green State University is canceling in-person classes only at the Bowling Green campus on Monday (Jan. 26) until 12:30 p.m., due to severe winter weather. Online and remote classes will continue as planned.

University operations, including dining and residence halls, will remain open. All administrative offices and non-academic buildings, including the Student Recreation Center, will continue planned operations.

Both locations of the Wood County District Public Library, in Bowling Green and Walbridge, have delayed opening on Monday (Jan. 26) until noon.

Wood County government buildings will be closed on Monday (Jan. 26) due to inclement weather. 
Employees who work in 24-hour operations or whose services may be needed during the closure
should check with their supervisor for specific instructions related to reporting to work.

The Wood County Health Department, Wood County Community Health Center, and Wood County WIC are closed today.

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District announced that its main office is closed on Monday (Jan. 26) due to weather conditions. Customers can use the online and automated phone pay options during this time or can find more information on our website.

Our water and sewer services operate 24/7/365. While our main office is closed, customers can still reach them in an emergency. Contact the local county sheriff’s department for a licensed operator to be dispatched.
